With a wealth of experience gained during his 30 year’s in the welding trade, PJ Designs has established his own thriving steel furniture and accessories business in Drumkeen. Interested customers are invited to come along to the fantastic custom build show room in Drumkeen (Ideally located between Ballybofey and Letterkenny) to browse his stunning individually, hand crafted products. PJ Designs will be delighted to speak with clients to discuss their needs and indeed create a unique products exactly tailored to your taste. The company also has a superb track record of commercial success and clients are welcome to examine the company’s portfolio of Staircases, Gates & Railings many of which can also be viewed on prominent commercial buildings, hotels, nightclubs and private residence all over the country.
Having applied his craft to the general welding trade, PJ Designs observed a niche in the market for manufacturing staircases, gates and railings and bespoke metal furniture.
Matching craft with design he has to date designed and created an impressive variety of items, his most spectacular work is probably seen in his staircases, chandeliers, iron gates and railings but his skill and experience is evident throughout the entire range of quality-crafted products, this includes hall and coffee tables, standard lamps, candelabras, fire fenders, bedroom furniture, curtain poles, coat stands, mirrors, candleholders and bespoke pieces.
PJ Designs has featured on “Whose Design Is It Anyway” on TV3, on RTE’s “Nationwide” and in “The Irish Garden” magazine.
His business currently runs in tandem, with his work on display in furniture and craft shops as well as available directly from his Drumkeen base.
For those who are particularly drawn to the wrought iron work, the appeal of dealing directly with the craftsman is obvious. You can discuss your needs and requirements with P. J., who will in turn marry your vision with his craft, allowing for a unique piece of furniture or decoration.
Although many people in the northwest will have seen this unique style of furniture and design nationally in recent years they will not have had the opportunity to view the design of a Donegal native supplying their own area, and further afield.
The advantages which his location can offer are obvious- he is available to display his products, discuss his work and “match your needs with his designs” to allow for greater flexibility than shop buying allows.
Although his products are available in some stores across the northwest, his local location means greater accessibility and greater freedom of design and greater satisfaction in determining the final product.
PJ Designs won the Cross Border Trade Award in 2018 at the Intertrade Ireland Awards in 2018.
